As a wife and mother of three, I understand the key role women play in looking after the health and well being of our loved ones. The problem is that we often neglect our own health in the process. We may find ourselves frustrated with our bodies and look for a "quick fix" rather than understanding and overcoming the bad habits that keep us from taking better care of ourselves.
When it comes to food and nutrition, long term change can only come from developing healthy habits of eating tasty, healthy, satisfying foods (even fat) that make you feel nourished and give you a sense of well being. I do not believe in calorie counting, dieting, skimping or depriving yourself because these are short term fixes which are unsustainable and do not lead to lasting change.
I do believe that nutrition changes can be made at any stage in life and can improve your life no matter your age or size. I focus on helping my clients start where they are, with the body they have and loving and embracing their body exactly as it is.
